Our Science Vision
(January 2024)

We are enthusiastic scientists when we learn through experiments and share our knowledge and skills in different ways.

We do this through:

  • Collaboration – We work together to discuss our ideas and findings.
  • Hands-On Experiences – We learn through doing and being practical.
  • Opportunities – We learn both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Curiosity – We ask and answer questions, communicating using scientific vocabulary.

Keep an eye out around school for our new posters, detailing our vision and principles.

Science Week 2026

This year, the National Science Week's theme is: Curiosity: what's your question? In School, the children take part in many different activities linked to a plethora of Science topics. Why not talk to your child at home and explore Science topics that interest them?

Look at the BBC website for videos and links to engage conversation and hone scientific skills. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/articles/zg9c3j6

As Spring appears to have finally sprung, encourage your children to be interested in the outside. You might like to use surveys to understand what creatures are living in your area.

Encourage your children to sketch and observe minibeasts to create interesting pieces of artwork.

Above all: Stay Curious!
