Updates on the children's progress will be updated daily and a link given to a Google Photos album for each day of the trip. Please note that photos will be uploaded periodically throughout the day by staff when they are not engaged in looking after the children. This will be during the day when staff have phone signal or after 6pm when they have returned to CRS Adventures and have a good WiFi signal. 

DAY 1 Monday 18th May 2026 - After departing at around 7.45am, the coach arrived at the River Dart at about 1pm after a brief stop at the services en route.

On arrival, the children had lunch and were shown to their dorms. Our first activity was a round robin involving: slides, an obstacle course race, netting, a pirate lake and going through a tunnel water slide. 

As we sit down to a delicious dinner, we are looking forward to the climbing wall this evening.

DAY 2 Tuesday 19th May 2026 - After a fun evening on the indoor climbing wall, we had a good night sleep and delicious breakfast to set us up for the day. Groups 1 and 2 were kayaking and canoeing in the morning which involved a lot of laughter and very wet children! Groups 3 and 4 had a fantastic morning on the high ropes. They pushed themselves out of their comfort zones and did really well. 

After a good lunch, Groups 1 and 2 spent the afternoon whizzing down the zip wire and building a tower of crates as high as possible while stood on top of it! Groups 3 and 4 had a great afternoon on the river kayaking and canoeing. What a fantastic day! We are looking forward to this evening's Gymo Course.

DAY 3 Wednesday 20th May 2026 - What a fantastic day! Today was our day of climbing and walking. All of the groups  did a beautiful walk through woodland, fields and moorland. They did brilliantly and we played lots of games along the way. 

The climbing was a fantastic experience and a real challenge - all of the children put their best efforts in and gave it a good go. We had a nice packed lunch as a class by the climbing wall and enjoyed a delicious dinner on return. 

This evening, we are looking forward to taking part in a mini Olympics.

DAY 4 Thursday 21st May 2026 - Another great day today! We really enjoyed team building this morning in our raft building session. We played lots of games with a lot of laughter and very wet children and teachers by the end.

This afternoon, Groups 1 and 2  did a very challenging high ropes course. We are very proud of everyone for giving it a fantastic go. Groups 3 and 4 did the zip wire and crates. They worked together to build a tall crate tower whilst stood on top of it! The zip wire was also very popular with a long ride down through the park and across the river.

A great day with delicious food in-between. We are looking forward to the campfire this evening.

DAY 5 Friday 22nd May 2026 - After packing up their rooms and enjoying a final breakfast at the CRS Adventure Centre, the children have boarded the bus for the long journey home. The coach is expected to arrive back at school for around 3pm but this will be subject to traffic and toilet breaks. We will communicate any changes to timings via email throughout the afternoon.
