The children are required to wear the following school uniform:

• Branded navy blue school sweatshirt or cardigan
• White polo shirt, shirt or blouse
• Grey trousers, skirt, pinafore or tailored shorts
• Blue and white gingham or striped dress for summer
• Plain white socks for girls, plain dark socks for boys
• If tights are worn, they should be grey or navy blue
• Plain black school shoes (no high heels, trainers, ankle boots or open-toed shoes)

No jewellery, other than plain stud earrings and watches, should be worn at school.

Smart watches with cameras, games or interactive connectivity are not permitted, as these can cause a distraction in class.  

Hair below shoulder-length must be tied back. If worn, headbands and bows should be small, plain in colour and sympathetic to school uniform.

PE Kit

• Plain navy blue shorts
• T-shirt in the child’s house colour
• Trainers for outdoor use
• Plain dark tracksuit, jogging bottoms or sweatshirt (no hoodies) for outside cold weather PE

As part of our commitment to keeping children safe during PE, we would like to remind parents and carers of our expectations around jewellery and hair. In line with guidance from the Association for Physical Education (AfPE) and our school PE policy, all jewellery, including earrings, must be removed for PE lessons. Earrings should therefore be removed at home on PE days. If a child arrives at school wearing earrings, they will be asked to remove them before taking part in PE. Staff are unable to remove earrings for children. The only exception is for children whose ears have been recently pierced. Earrings may be securely covered with tape for a maximum of six weeks following piercing. After this six-week period, earrings must be removed for PE.

Please also ensure that hair longer than shoulder-length is tied back securely on PE days. Long fringes or hair that falls across the eyes must also be held back so that children have clear vision and can participate safely.

If your child needs to wear footwear for indoor PE for medical reasons, then please discuss this with the class teacher. It is very useful for children to have a carrier bag in which to put dirty shoes after lessons or clubs.

Lost Property

Please label all items coming into school with your child – water bottles, uniform, outer wear etc.  Lost property is kept in the outer foyer and children are encouraged to look for any items they have lost.  Each half-term any lost property is reunited with its owner and any non-named items are displayed at the front of the school for parents to look through.
