  • Midnight Walk for Mrs Morgan

    Published 13/07/22

On Saturday 16th July our staff team are taking part in the Midnight Walk for Florence Nightingale Hospice in memory of our Teaching Assistant, Mrs Morgan, who worked at SMCS for seventeen years and was cared for by the Hospice earlier this year. As well as taking part in the Walk, Stoke Mandeville Combined School are also hosting the second pitstop on the 10 mile route around Aylesbury.

“When we were approached to host the pitstop it was just a perfect fit. We had already decided to walk together this year in memory of Debbie who was a special part of our team for many years. She was the key instigator behind the school supporting the charity at their Tree of Light events and had organised teams for the Midnight Walk in previous years, in memory of another teaching assistant, Mrs Kendall.”

Our staff team are on track to reach their target of raising £1,000 – you can support them at https://www.justgiving.com/.../StokeMandevilleCombinedSchool
