This session is for parents of Reception and Key Stage 1 children (Years 1 and 2) but parents of Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6) children are welcome to attend should they wish to. It will last for approximately 30 minutes.

The aim of the afternoon is to inform you of how Phonics is taught within our school, share the terminology used within Phonics sessions, share some strategies to help emergent readers and writers and to answer any questions you may have regarding our approach to phonics and the Year 1 Screening Check. We will also be sharing how our new Phonics scheme works and is developed across the school.

As this session is following on from the school day, children may attend the session if they are supervised by a parent or guardian.
